Thanksgiving!

Dear all,

What an amazing Thanksgiving! It was awesome! We ended up spending it with the Deakins family. They are a great family. They feed us a lot and are great with team ups! And to my supprise Sister Deakin had amazing news that just made my Thanksgiving the absolute best! She had gotten in contact with JoAnn who told her how my family had came into contact with an old friend of mine in High School, Christian Painter. Christian and I weren't ever super close, but I always thought he was awesome and I always enjoyed talking with him. Well come to find out he is interested in hearing about the Gospel! I can't express how excited this made me. I know how much the Gospel can bless his life. This news made my Thanksgiving absolutely amazing!

And if that wasn't enough, we found a new investigator through this Thanksgiving with the Deakins. So one of the Deakins boys named Cody had a friend who had moved away then moved back into town, and his friend had asked if he could come over for Thanksgiving. And so because of this, the boys mom wanted to come along and pretty much contacted the Deakins (Keep in my mind that the Deakins have never met this lady or the son besides Cody knowning the son.) and asked if she could tag along. So we had two strangers to us and the Deakins there for Thanksgiving. The Deakins then brought them to church with them yesterday and yesterday night had an amazing less with both of them at the Deakins house. It was amazing! There names are Michelle and I believe the son's name is Nick. They both commited to being baptized once they recieve and comfirmatin, but without a date. We will be getting a date for baptism on our next visit which will be next Sunday!

As for Chelsey who we have been working with, she is set for baptism on the 18 of December! She didn't make it to church yesterday, so hopefully nothing has happened to her that has made her change her mind at all, but she has been progressing and I know she can make it!

As for transfers, I am still in Logan, Iowa. However, my companion Elder Hadfield got transfered and new companion is Elder Puckette. I got along super well with Elder Hadfield, so these past few days have been pretty rough for me. Elder Puckette is a great guy. I think I'm going to have to work him hard though. He's been out 18 months and I'm senior companion, so we'll see how he does. But anyways. It's snowing, so pray that I learn how to drive in the snow super fast. Haha I think I'll be fine. I love you all! I hope everything is well and I wish the best for all my family and friend.

One Fast Transfer!

Dear all,

So this transfer pretty much just flew by! I can't believe it's already transfers again! With this year transferres falling on Thanksgiving the mission decided to moves transfers back a day and to make p-day Thanksgiving too, which pretty much means I don't get a p-day this week, but I'll live because I still have a Holiday! They wanted us to do emails today though, so that's why you are recieving an email today, which isn't my p-day, because the Libraries will be closed Thanksgiving. So you all won't be finding out what's going on with transffers until after they already happen.

But anyways, this past week has been pretty good. Chelsey didn't make it to church yesterday, which wasn't too exciting, but that doesn't mean she won't next week. Our weeks have been really busy lately with Zone conferences and Zone trainings and exchanges and so on and so forth, so yeah. But the work is going good. Still having a hard time finding new people. We'll just week working with finding and trying to get our less actives back to church with a couple of investigator lessons here and there.

Anyways, I hope everyone is doing great! Everyone stay safe during the holidays. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Until next Monday! I love you all! Read the Book of Mormon and pray daily!

Hardest Week Of My Mission

Dear All,

So this past week I must say was the hardest week of my mission yet. Why you ask? Because I can't believe how the elections turned out! Maybe I because more emotionally involved then I should have as a missionary, but I just can't believe this! I have never been so disappointed in America in my entire life! I honestly just have a hard time comprehending it. People chose Free Stuff over Freedom! But I must stop my ramble there. With much prayer, I have come to a conclusion. Heavenly Father is in charge no matter what happens. No matter who is President of the USA, Heavenly Father is still there and we need not worry as long as we are doing what He wants us to do.

Some things that redeemed my week in a way was being able to attend the temple, having an investigator who we have been teaching for a while come to church for the first time, and being a missionary! I'm finally in an area close enough to go on temple trips! It was so refreshing to finally be back to the temple after 6 months or so of not having that opportunity. It's was amazing! I hope I stay in a close enough area the rest of my mission! But if not, that will be okay. I am willing to go anywhere where the Lord needs me!

Well I hope everyone is doing great! I love you all! The mission is awesome! It's freezing, but great. Stay warm everyone!

The Elections!

Dear All,

So it's getting colder here in Iowa, but it's still not as cold as
North Platte was before I left, but we should be getting snow at any
time! I'm excited for it, but at the same time, I'm not. It'll
definitly, be different then what I'm used to.

So the work is going fair as usual. Last week was a rough one. We did
a lot of walking and tracting, but with very little spoils. We were
over our monthly miles so that's way we walked a ton, but now it's a
new month so we start over with miles, but in this area it's almost
close to impossible to stay below our monthly alotment, so we are
probably going to be doing a lot of walking, but still might go over,
just because we need the truck to get to each of our areas.

But besides that everything is going great!. My companino is awesome
and the family we live with is amazing too! This week is going to be
exciting/nerveracking with the elections! We find out tomorrow! Oh
goodness!

Well I hope everyone is doing great! I love you all and hope the best
for everyone!
