Thanksgiving!

Dear all,

What an amazing Thanksgiving! It was awesome! We ended up spending it with the Deakins family. They are a great family. They feed us a lot and are great with team ups! And to my supprise Sister Deakin had amazing news that just made my Thanksgiving the absolute best! She had gotten in contact with JoAnn who told her how my family had came into contact with an old friend of mine in High School, Christian Painter. Christian and I weren't ever super close, but I always thought he was awesome and I always enjoyed talking with him. Well come to find out he is interested in hearing about the Gospel! I can't express how excited this made me. I know how much the Gospel can bless his life. This news made my Thanksgiving absolutely amazing!

And if that wasn't enough, we found a new investigator through this Thanksgiving with the Deakins. So one of the Deakins boys named Cody had a friend who had moved away then moved back into town, and his friend had asked if he could come over for Thanksgiving. And so because of this, the boys mom wanted to come along and pretty much contacted the Deakins (Keep in my mind that the Deakins have never met this lady or the son besides Cody knowning the son.) and asked if she could tag along. So we had two strangers to us and the Deakins there for Thanksgiving. The Deakins then brought them to church with them yesterday and yesterday night had an amazing less with both of them at the Deakins house. It was amazing! There names are Michelle and I believe the son's name is Nick. They both commited to being baptized once they recieve and comfirmatin, but without a date. We will be getting a date for baptism on our next visit which will be next Sunday!

As for Chelsey who we have been working with, she is set for baptism on the 18 of December! She didn't make it to church yesterday, so hopefully nothing has happened to her that has made her change her mind at all, but she has been progressing and I know she can make it!

As for transfers, I am still in Logan, Iowa. However, my companion Elder Hadfield got transfered and new companion is Elder Puckette. I got along super well with Elder Hadfield, so these past few days have been pretty rough for me. Elder Puckette is a great guy. I think I'm going to have to work him hard though. He's been out 18 months and I'm senior companion, so we'll see how he does. But anyways. It's snowing, so pray that I learn how to drive in the snow super fast. Haha I think I'll be fine. I love you all! I hope everything is well and I wish the best for all my family and friend.

With tender love and care,
Ofa atu,
Elder Timmy Nelson
