Dear all,
So yesterday was the
baptism! It was amazing! We had it after church so that people wouldn't have to
make multiple trips to the church and so that we could get more member support,
which we did! We had almost the whole ward there for the baptism! It was amazing!
And Michelle and Nick enjoyed it very much. After the baptism and during the
day, Michelle expressed to me how she felt "different" and how she
felt like she was on "cloud 9". She is also very excited for this
next Sunday when she and Nick will be recieving the Gift of the Holy Ghost
through comfirmation. I have loved every minute of teaching Michelle and Nick,
and will miss teaching them, but I am very excited to see them progress in the
Gospel. I will never forget this experience, and I will never forget them. I
have made friends that will remain my friends for Eternity. I have finally, for
the first time on my mission, had a taste of seeing the Gospel change someones
life in such a drastic way.
But the work doesn't
stop! There are more people our there that need this wonderful Gospel. Our
finding efforts aren't doing much, but I'm confident that whether or not we
find people through our efforts, the Lord sees our diligence and blesses us for
it. Even if we can't see the blessing.
I wish everyone well
and another great week! May we all do our part in building up the Lord's
Kingdom!
With tender love and
care,
Ofa atu,
Elder Nelson
