Dear all,
So it's been another 6
weeks. They just fly by even faster and faster. Though, this cold weather does
seem to slow it down a bit. I'm a panzy when it comes to cold. But anyways, so
I'm staying in Logan Iowa with my companion, Elder Puckette again. This past
transfer as been a good one, lets make this one even better.
I had a great
Christmas! We spent it as a District and went to the Deakins and played some
board/card games with them. Then we went back to the Hess' (where me and Elder
Puckette live) and started with our phone calls. It was really pretty hecktic
with all four of us trying to cordinate our calls and such, but it turned out
great!
We haven't really been
able to find any more investigators, but we still have Michelle. We had to
resechule her baptism, but I'm sure she will make her new baptismal date of the
13th of January! I just know she will make it!
This past Saturday was
a hard one for me. During the day, I randomly started to feel sad. Then that
night, I got a call from President Weston telling me that my Uncle David had
passed away that morning. It was some hard news to take, but being at a members
home, I tried to hold in the tears as much as I could. But this news isn't all
sad. In fact, with the Plan of Salvation, it's almost not sad at all. I know
that my Uncle David is being taken care of by Heavenly Father. I know that I
will see him again. I am so very thankful for the knowleage that we have as a
church! I can't wait to see my Uncle David once again, but this time I will be
able to see him in his normal/perfect state. Until that day, "God be with
you until we meet again" Uncle David.
With tender love and
care,
Ofa atu,
Elder Timmy Nelson
